Nicholas Bellefleur

Montreal-based choreographer and interdisciplinary artist, I create immersive experiences that blur the boundaries of the living, artificality and integrity of space and time. My work is rooted in the body: a queer, virtuosic, sensitive, mutant body - traversed by memory, desire, technologies and systems of power.

LFDTCLASS

WILD PRIDE (MTL)

10.08.2025
11:00 - 12:00

LFDT classes were born out of a shared need to get together to move, sweat, wiggle, jump, spin, frolic, let off steam and emancipate through dance and creative movement. Founded in New York in 2014 by unruly artist Wynn Holmes, Lo Fi Dance Theory (LFDT) includes a dance company, classes and labs.

LFDTCLASS are designed for bodies of all abilities. Movement sequences are suggested as “frames”. These frames become your anchor points from which you choose to stay, exploring repetition, or to venture so far out that the frame is no more than an echo.

Focusing on improvisation, the search for sustainability and emancipation through dance, LFDT classes encourage participants to reimagine their bodies through the discovery of new ways of moving, as well as becoming familiar with their own unique language and learning to love and celebrate it.
